Join the Haunted Winnipeg team for this unique evening. We will be enjoying a light supper with the spirits literally at the Maple Grove Tea Room housed in Captain Kennedy's historic home on old River Road. Perhaps Mrs. Kennedy will join us and sit at her regular table? Many staff and guests have shared stories of direct contact with several spirits.

The Haunted Winnipeg team will be joined by guest Medium Donna Elliott, who will do a smoke reading of the building and connect with our other worldly visitors.  Assist us in attempting to communicate with these spirits with the aid of a scanner, video equipment, basic tools and a paranormal guide. We will mostly be in the house but we will venture out into the garden so dress appropriately and wear proper foot wear.  

History

Manitoba Provincial Heritage Site No.16. 

The house was built in l866 for Captain William Kennedy, using stones quarried from the Red River banks at nearby St. Andrews Rapids. The Gothic Revival style of the Kennedy House is architecturally distinctive, compared to the other old stone houses built in the Red River Settlement, which reflect Georgian influences. In contrast with the rectilinear outline of Georgian designs, domestic buildings in the Gothic Revival style were often highly irregular in outline with sharply pitched roofs having numerous gables. By contemporary Eastern Canadian or British standards Kennedy House was simple and unadorned. By Red River Settlement standards, however, it was very fashionable. Since the destruction of several early stone houses along the Red River, Kennedy House now stands as one of only seven remaining and one of only three in excellent condition.

Time: Doors will open at 6:30. Dinner will be served at 6:45pm; the investigation will start at 8:00pm

Cost: $69.00 + 5% GST / adult 18 years of age or older

Light dinner: Soup Cup, 1/2 Salad, 1/2 Sandwich, choice of juice, tea, coffee or pop, carrot cake - please not any allergies or dietary concerns at the time of booking

We are working within the confines of the building, its history and those who may have passed through its doors before us.  Please do not attend in the hopes you will contact your deceased relatives, this is not the reason for our being here.  Mediums will not be granting personal readings.  Under no circumstances will we attempt to connect with deceased relatives of guests.  Please seek out a professional reputable medium for your own personal reading.
