Spruce Woods Provincial Park

It's a remnant of a giant beach ridge of what was once the shoreline of ancient Lake Agassiz. Hike, bike, ride, ski, and explore the diverse landscapes found in Spruce Woods Provincial Park, from sand dunes to mixed-grass prairie, and river bottom forest to upland deciduous forests. Riverbank Discovery Centre ![]()
The centre is the starting point for the Assiniboine Riverbank Trail with a system of parks and pathways linked up to the Red Willow pedestrian bridge. Guided tours on the river aboard The Discoverer, a pontoon boat is available in season.
